Preparation Directions (Keep Frozen Until Use): Boil: Place pierogies in boiling water. Boil gently, uncovered for 4-5 minutes. Drain. Skillet: Place frozen pierogies in skillet and saute in oil or butter over medium heat (300 degrees F) for approximately 7-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until highly browned on both sides. Deep Fry: Preheat oil to 350 degrees F. Carefully place frozen pierogies in oil for 3-1/2 to 4 minutes until golden brown. Grill: Preheat countertop grilling machine at medium setting. Spray both sides of frozen pierogies with non-stick cooking spray. Grill for 5 minutes. Microwave: In a microwave safe bowl cover frozen pierogies with water. Microwave on high for approximately 5 minutes. Drain. Quick & Easy Serving suggestions: Traditional Pierogies: Follow boil or skillet preparation directions: Saute chopped onions in butter or margarine until lightly browned. Add pierogies and toss gently. Top with sour cream and garnish with chives or parsley or float a cooked pierogies in your favorite soup.
